About Loretta Jackson
Hello, and welcome.
I'm Loretta Jackson—author, songwriter, entrepreneur, educator, and builder. More importantly, I'm a woman who has learned that even after life's most devastating losses, there is still purpose to be found, hope to be embraced, and a future worth living.
For more than two decades, I have dedicated my life to building things that matter. Whether leading businesses, teaching financial literacy and entrepreneurship to young people, constructing homes, writing music, or serving my community, I have always believed that our greatest impact comes from using our experiences to help others.
In 2021, my life changed forever when my husband of 26 years died by suicide after a long and difficult battle with mental illness. The loss shattered everything I thought I knew about my future, my faith, and my ability to move forward. Yet through grief, healing, prayer, and perseverance, I discovered a truth that now guides my life: surviving is not the end of the story.
That journey inspired me to write 1,555 Days Later: My Husband Died, I Chose to Keep Living, a memoir that shares the realities of loss, the challenges of rebuilding after tragedy, and the hope that can emerge from even the darkest seasons of life.
Music has also become an important part of my healing journey. Through songwriting, I share stories of resilience, faith, courage, and hope. My music reflects the same message found throughout my writing: no matter what life takes from us, we still have the power to choose how we move forward.
Professionally, I have served in leadership roles in finance, human resources, procurement, construction, and education. I hold degrees in accounting, business management, and leadership, and I remain passionate about helping others develop the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to create better futures for themselves and their families.
Today, my mission is simple: to encourage people who are navigating grief, adversity, and life's unexpected challenges. Through my books, music, speaking engagements, and future podcast, I hope to remind others that healing is possible, purpose can be rediscovered, and hope can be found again.
Thank you for visiting. I am honored to share this journey with you.
